Security and peace of mind

If you’re not planning to regularly change your website, but want to ensure it stays available, secure and up to date, this is the plan for you. You’ll have peace of mind that your website is regularly backed up, and that our team will be alerted if anything goes wrong. Free website recovery means you’re protected from hacking or mistakes in editing.

Inclusions

1. WordPress hosting. Hosting your WordPress website on Kinsta.

2. Automated backups, run daily and stored for at least 21 days. Offsite storage of one backup per quarter.

3. Free website recovery. If your site ever breaks, eg. due to a software update, or the site being hacked, or if you make a mistake while editing the site, we will restore the site from backup at no extra cost.

4. Uptime monitoring and alerting. We will set up an uptime monitoring system which will message our support team in the event of the website going down for any reason. This will allow us to immediately detect and respond to any outages, without having to wait for your or one of your customers to notice the issue and notify us.

5. Updating WordPress and plugins. Your WordPress website needs regular software updates, similar to your Windows or Mac computer in order to fix security issues and prevent bugs from developing over time. Updates are performed at minimum monthly, more frequently in the case of critical security updates.

6. Spam and hacking prevention: We will install a spam and hacking prevention plugin that monitors your site for suspicious activity, and blocks IPs of computers that are found to be making repeated failed login requests or other behaviour that indicates an attempt to hack the site.

7. Security plugin. Installation and monthly review for security issues.

8. Exclusions: Any work outside the above scope will be billed at our standard hourly rates of $200/hr + GST for a senior developer or $150/hr + GST for a mid-level developer. Please note that this includes any website changes, bug fixes and technical support.

Silver Plan - $300/mo

Help when you need it

Does your website need regular ongoing work, but you don’t have the time or skills to update it yourself? This is the plan for you. Contact us if you ever need help with editing, repeat training for new staff members, or for us to make changes to your website for you. Get discounted rates on any website updates beyond 1h/month.

Inclusions

1. All Bronze Plan inclusions.

2. Technical support and minor changes: up to 2 hours per month of bug fixes, technical support or minor website changes, to help your staff if there are any issues they have trouble sorting out themselves. Examples: fixing a broken feature, adding a social media link, changing the email address that the contact form submissions get sent to, etc. With this plan you will have the ability to contact us and request minor changes to the website.

3. Discounted rate for additional work: Any work outside the above scope or in excess of accumulated support hours will be billed at a discounted hourly rate of $175/hr + GST for a senior developer or $125/hr + GST for a mid-level developer.

Gold Plan - $800+/mo

2. Monthly off-site SEO (link building): 4 links per month created for your website every month to help grow your website’s search rankings. In the first few months this can be repurposed for the website content audit and on-page SEO improvements.
